Which is More Fragile, Eggshells or Taco Shells?

Yep! The tennis ball broke the shell into bits! We had found the breaking point of taco shells.

Next, we tried a baseball.

A baseball is heavier and harder than a tennis ball, so we assumed that the baseball would also crack a taco shell. But we conducted the test anyway.

The first shell broke.

We tried it again. Yes, the second shell broke.

We tried it a bunch more. The baseball always broke the taco shell.

It is pretty fun to drop baseballs onto taco shells.

We also tried a brick.

Bricks are harder to aim.

Finally, we were ready to try the eggshells! The taco shells had stood up to the cotton balls and the ping pong balls, but had been crushed by the tennis balls and baseballs. This was a good start, but if we saw the same results with eggshell impacts, neither shell would be proven superior.

We prepared our balls.

First, the cotton ball.

First you see the egg.

Then you see the shadow.

Then you see the cotton ball.
