Video of Pitbulls Defending our Neighbor's House against Intruders

Well hell.

We had some drama on the block last week, as our neighbor suffered an attempted break-in/home invasion in the wee morning hours. The good news is that no one was hurt and the burglary was thwarted. The better news is that he has cameras.
Despite the on-screen time and date, this was on March 8th, at 4:15 am.

Two burglars appear in the foreground at the :43 mark in the video. One kicks at the locked door twice, busting out the frame. (0:46). His accomplice then draws a pistol (0:47) and enters the house.

Just as the pistol-weilder is entering the house, he notices a dog inside, poised to greet him. He turns and runs. He is out of there, grabbing his friend's shoulders and turning like one of the stooges.

The neighbor wasn't awake until after his dogs had chased the criminals away. There is some evidence that they got a bite out of one burglars' rear end.

This neighbor moved out. His collection of Magic cards is intact and safely hidden in an undisclosed location.

Please note that dispite having a pistol IN HIS HAND, the burglar did not fire, but decided instead to turn and run when confronted by two muscle-bound Pitbulls.

If you think a pistol is the ultimate in home defense, I hope you are talking about a pitbull named "Pistol".
