Testing the 'Baby Ruth in the Pool' Prank

In the 1980 comedy "Caddyshack", an errant Baby Ruth candy bar terrorizes an entire pool full of swimmers.

This is an epic film, but could this prank really work? On Friday night, I asked my kids to help test the prank.
