Omaha is not in California

Rather neat looking apartment buildings near downtown.

Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium, home of the NCAA College World Series.

Rosenblatt is also the home of the Omaha Royals Minor League baseball team, who occasionally face off against the Sacramento River Cats.

Omaha is also host to the world's largest glazed geodesic dome. The top is 137 feet above the ground.

The architects designing the Henry Doorly Zoo had originally planned to build two of these massive domes. Imagine what that would have looked like on Google Earth!

This thing is an incredible landmark. I had actually remembered this dome from driving by on my way to New York in 2002. It is only one quarter the height of the St. Louis Arch, but it is 3D!

Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to visit the world-class Doorly Zoo. From what I have heard, this might be the best tourist attraction in Omaha.

The Zesto ice cream stand. One of those quirky landmark dining establishments that draw customers from 100 miles away.

Sokol Auditorium on South 13th Street. This is Omaha's most infamous indy rock venue.

"Sokol" is the Czech word for Falcon.

Our kids woke up, and the Omaha VIP tour had to come to an end.

Thanks Christina and Iggy. Sorry we missed you Tom!
