On Monday, our time in Omaha was almost finished. We caught up with Stacy's friend Christina, who was willing to give us a guided tour of downtown.

June and Iggy were born just a day apart, so naturally we forced them to be friends. Christina and her husband have a really great home. Stacy and I were totally jealous. |

Our first stop was lunch. After mocking the Petey Cwoozer, we all jumped in her mini-van and headed to McFosters Natural Kind Cafe on south 38th Street. The Natural Kind Cafe was built in the shell of an old service station built to look like a Dutch fort or Swiss Chalet. This place is terrific. I really didn't expect to find a vegetarian oasis in Omaha. The food was great and the staff was friendly and polite. |
After lunch, we headed out to see some Omaha hotspots. |
Christina and Stacy sat up front. I sat in the back, testing my new stand-up comedy routine on June and Iggy. |
The ConAgra headquarters, home of Reddi-Wip, Hunts, Healthy Choice, Marie Calendars, Wesson Oil, Banquet, Chef Boyardee and other brands. This is where I got my cool set of Lard coupons! This double row of flags in the front once featured the flags of many different nations. Can you guess what day they changed them all to American flags? |

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company building. The Mutual of Omaha is a cornerstone of national name recognition for Omaha, because of the Wild Kingdom television program which aired in network primetime from 1963 to 1971. Those safaris? Wild! |
