I was thrilled to see that Janeane Garofalo was going to be making announcements throughout the show! How great is that? Totally a side-bonus of being there. Yes, I got to meet her, fulfilling a long-time goal of mine! No, I didn't get a good photo of her. Here is one of her back and left arm. She is standing next to SNL regular Fred Armisen. |

This show was being broadcast live, and shown on a gigantic video screen outside in Times square. Audience members in that very room were looking outside across the street to get a close-up of what was happening inside the room they were currently standing in. |
Now, get this. After the Foo Fighters finished with "Best of You", a Foo Fighters cover band played the encore song to the perplexed audience. It was surreal, but everyone got through it just fine. They really did a great job. |
After the midnight show, there was a little hanging out and milling about. Everyone was in a good mood. |
Three models from Suicide Girls were enjoying the band's little lounge room. They had been in a segment earlier, while I was off downstairs. |
Jane returned from her party and helped me place a few instant outlets. I met and had a great conversation with one of the producers for the show Boiling Points. |
Another Instant Outlet. By two in the morning, I could feel my body shutting down from lack of sleep, so Jane and I went back to the hotel and tried to catch a few hours sleep. By 5:30 am, we were back up and on our way back to the studios. |
