A Balsac the Jaws of Death costume seeks the judges approval.

Getting laughs from almost anyone that eyes the American Idol Judges costume.

The costume was a hit! I worked on my costume-related repartee, which mostly boiled down to shouting "You're going to Hollywood!" to anyone who looked my way.

Swarming photographers.

My favorite reaction of the night came from the showgirl on the right side of this photo. She was pointing and laughing. She loved it! 

A singing pharaoh. 

If a group of friends stopped to check out my costume, and one of them paused to take a photo of it, I would hand another of their group the microphone, so he or she could also get in the photo.

Then, because I was usually behind the singer, out of her view, I would pose covering my ears in horror. This always got a laugh from the cameraman.
