Brazil Nuts

Brazil Nuts are like SUPER NUTS. They come from really, really tall trees. Not only do they grow with a ultra-hard, thick shell, they are further protected within a big, hard, thick seed pod.

These grapefruit-sized nutballs were probably the inspiration for Terry's Chocolate Baseball.

Brazil nuts are rich in Selenium, which is either very bad for you, or very good for you, depending upon who you believe. Selenium supporters are sure to point out that Selena was a beautiful and talented singer, but detractors will certainly concentrate on her tragic death.

Contrary to popular belief, they do NOT come from the coin return slot in public telephones.

Brazil nuts are also known as "Gilberts".
