Introduction

For about six weeks before the California State Fair opened in Sacramento, I helped build the displays.

My boss Richard Bay has been designing and building displays and exhibits for more than 25 years. As important as his experience and creativity, he has assembled a great squad of craftsmen and painters. 

In 2003, Richard's team built a number of county displays and the History of California Agriculture exhibit. I took photos of the process.
