Websites that I Encourage You to Visit

I would like to sell some links on Cockeyed.com. The site gets a lot of traffic, which I've decided to cash in on in a couple of different ways.

Oh, you had noticed?

Here is the latest plan: I'm going to post a page of nine sponsored links on April 19th, 2005. This links page will feature large images of the links, screenshots of the websites.

I'm looking for the nine websites who are willing to pay the most for a link. Is that $1.50, or is it $500? I don't know.

Therefore, I'm selling the nine positions with a silent auction. If you are interested, just send an email stating your bid for one of the spots. The highest bid will win the top spot, the second-highest bid will win the second-highest spot, and so on, down to the ninth spot.

Approximately 1,300 people will look at the links page on the first day, at least 600 people will click on each link.

I don't have any confidence that anyone will buy anything from a linked page, but I guarantee traffic will be there.

Here are the important dates:

April 4-10 open, silent bidding for nine link positions.

April 11- bidding ends, winners announced. Winners should send payment, link web address and description.

April 12 - Susan's Birthday

April 11-17 - Payment window. Payment for winning slots must be received by April 17th.

April 18-May 18, 2005 - links page link posted on the top of Cockeyed.com home page.

Links page will move to the Cockeyed.com archive page after May 18th.

Image displayed must be a screen-capture of the linked webpage. A description, up to 131 words, can accompany the link and link address.

The linked site can not be advertising any product that is illegal in California. It can not be a gambling site, nor an adult site. It cannot be offensive to schoolchildren, meaning that it cannot be more sexy than the smallest-bikini webpage on the sample link page. It can't be a matrix or pyramid. It can't be a site selling e-books, e-gold, e-loans or e-anything else. It can't be a fraud or a phony, or a phony fraud. It can't be for a cash-advance or paycheck advance service. It cannot be an herbalife site, nor a recruiting site for any multi-level marketing company.

Questions will be answered via email and relevant questions may be posted on a FAQ page.
