Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Websites that I Encourage You to Visit Page

Questions haven't actually been asked yet, but I wanted to get this started, so here are the first few anticipated questions:

Q. What if two or more sites bid the same amount of money for their link?

A. The first person to bid would have the advantage. For example, if two bids came in at eight dollars, the first bid would be given a place higher in the list, or if the ninth, and tenth-highest bids were each $8, only the first bid would "win" a place on the page.

Q.  How much should I bid? There is nothing to go on. How much do you usually get? I don't want to throw money away.

A. Based on my experiences with advertising and selling on Cockeyed.com, I think about 22 people will place a bid. There will be some people just want a link to their blog and others who actually make money online. You only have to be one of the top nine bids to be on the page. I sold a one-pixel ad last year for $100, but that was a gimmick. You should know that I won't be insulted by small bids, and that the bottom position on the page will almost generate as much interest as the top position.

Q. Is this auction on ebay?

A. No. It is all via email to rob at cockeyed.

Q. Will you cut me a special deal because of something I've helped you with in the past?

A. Geez, that's right, I owe you. Let me repay you back some other time. This is a moneymaking scheme with a nine-position structure that I can't undercut or modify mid-stream without ripping someone off.

Q. If I win, can I have several pictures of my site, with a flash intro? Also, can you write my description so that it is funny, and from a point of view of someone that loves my smoky, homemade turkey sausage?

A. Sorry, only one image, a screenshot from the site is allowed and you must provide your own description.

Thank you! -Rob Cockerham
