Giant Low-tack Vinyl Watermelon Stickers

These awesome watermelon stickers are printed on my favorite new material - low-tack vinyl.

Low-tack vinyl has two desirable characteristics. First, it is plastic, which gives it the appearance of a bumper sticker. Second, it has a new style of adhesive on the back, allowing it to be easily removed without leaving residue.

Here is a photo of a watermelon slice on the side of my car. This is the preferred use of these stickers, but they have many other uses.

The adhesive is stronger than a Post-it® Note, but has a similar feel and stick.

We printed the first watermelon sticker on clear vinyl, but it didn't look right. The watermelon image was left clear where we expected the white rind to be. It would have looked terrible on a silver car, but it looked fine on a white door.

These watermelon stickers are printed from a photo of a real seedless watermelon and are printed on a Xerox 6060 digital color press.

The image is of a full round slice of watermelon, with a white background.

The watermelon measures 13" x 11½" on an 18" x 12" sheet. The watermelon looks best when it is cut out of the sheet. It looks good round or cut in half.

It can also be cut into smaller segments, such as a 1/6th round slices. Share a slice with a friend!

The adhesive is strong enough to hold a watermelon sticker on car doors. This has been tested for a three week period without peeling or fading.

Not all automobile paints and surfaces may be suitable for a watermelon sticker, but I'm confident they are safe for almost any car, and once you test the adhesive with your own fingers, you will be too.

Stephen and I felt confident enough about the harmless adhesive that we stuck this one on Julie's car without asking her first. The watermelon looks very good on green cars!

After three weeks, I removed my first watermelon sticker.

As you can see, there was no damage to the paint whatsoever. (Ok, this photo doesn't really show the surface that well. Trust me, there is no damage.) The area covered by the sticker was actually cleaner than the rest of the car.

The adhesive was not negatively affected by exposure to the hot summer weather and direct sunlight. I didn't wash my car with the sticker on there, but I'm sure it would be fine because the sticker isn't paper, it is vinyl.

Sticks best on smooth surfaces. Sticking a large sticker to rounded fenders and bumpers might result in surface wrinkling. It is also difficult to keep the sticker flat when removing it. The vinyl gets a little stretched, so it would be tough to re-use.

These giant watermelon stickers are highly recommended for watermelon vendors and fruit-lovers. Great for any smooth surface, including lockers, luggage, refrigerators and mirrors. They are not suitable for exhaust pipes or mufflers. Windshield use is not recommended. Watermelon sticker is not edible.

Shipping $1.50 to Canada, $2.25 to U.K.  Other international orders please write for shipping information.
