| Back before Christmas, 2002 I sold a link to Cockeyed.com
on ebay. Chris Harvey had the winning $18 bid.
Chris and his pal Tim form a musical duo known as The Alkali Flats. They used the link from cockeyed to draw traffic to their charity auction on ebay. They auctioned off a live acoustic performance and promised to give the money to Toys for Tots, or rather, they promised to buy toys, and give the toys to Toys for Tots. The bidding was furious. When it was over, Jennifer Rupe of Sacramento had won with a bid of $81. She is going to have the Alkali Flats play at a party sometime in 2003. Chris and Tim went on the toy-buying Spree just before Christmas. Chris' aunts, uncles, cousins, and parents had generously added another $62 to the fund for a grand total of $143. Now that's some toy shopping! Guphy went along to shoot some pictures. Chris is the one with the Banjo. Tim has the black hat. The captions are Chris'. Click on the photos to see a larger version. |

My thanks to Chris and Tim for these great photos, and thanks to Jen for her nice contribution. I think I have been invited to the party too!

| Yes, I could have donated the $18 Chris paid for the first auction to charity also. I didn't. I kept it for myself and blew it on milkshakes and Crest whitestrips. |
