Eating In

On Sunday morning, I had coffee and two Hohos.

I went to the post office and got pulled over on the way home.

I hadn't taken care of my car registration. There is only a ten-dollar fine for this procrastination, but it meant that I had to get my car out to the smog-check center as soon as I could.

The danger of taking a photo like this is that your camera could appear to be a handgun.

For lunch I had some of the leftover lasagna and some tropical juice drink.

I drank three beers while watching the All-Star game (basketball) on television.

I also ate the peanut butter cups I had forgotten to eat ( I mean share) during the movie.

I had three frozen burritos for dinner.

I mean, they were frozen, but I heated them up. I didn't eat them while they were still frozen. With Salsa.

On Monday, I woke up and had some coffee.

My co-workers congratulated me on getting half-way through a month of only eating at home.

By lunch time I was pretty hungry. I drove home and made a turkey and smoked provolone sandwich with an apple. It took 6 minutes and 47 seconds to prepare.

I was usually surprised at how quickly I could prepare lunch. I was starting to think that eating out was not a time-saving option. After lunch I drove into West Sac and got my car checked out at EZ Smog.

At 15 mph, the maximum allowable emission for hydrocarbons is 130 parts per million. The average car tested in California emits 32 PPM, mine measured 130.

It was as if the stars aligned. I returned to work late, but jubilant.

For dinner I had a chunk of the lasagna and tropical mix juice.

On Tuesday morning, I had more than my usual breakfast:  Cup of noodles, breakfast bar and coffee.

For lunch I had Grilled Sirloin Steak in a can.

There is a tiny "soup" in black lettering under the "CHUNKY" ribbon.

I added an apple and diet vanilla Coke.

Cooking in a microwave oven produces very few dishes.

For dinner I had tuna pasta. There was still one chunk of lasagna left, but I needed a break.

Brooke and Jane came over that night to help with How Much is Inside Goldschlager.

The pictures are fantastic. I'll have that online as soon as I can.

I bought the beer, in this case, a $10 pack of Steinlager. I drank my share.
