After considering a grand range of ads on the internet, from 88 pixel x 30 pixel microstamps, to 250 pixel x 450 pixel superskyscrapers, I've decided to advocate something smaller: The one pixel ad.
Although this 1x1 ad will be the smallest ad on the internet, I'm sure it will attract plenty of visitors. Red arrow not included. |
The tiny ad, although perhaps incapable of displaying your complete marketing message, will be "programmed" to "hyperlink" to your company, product, personal or auction "internet" address, in the same window.
Designing
a one-pixel ad is easy, so there is little need to invest in the latest
pirate copy of Photoshop CS, or hire a flashy Madison Avenue design agency!
The secret is to choose a pixel color that attracts the reader's eye and compels them to click on the ad. Blue, for example.
Ad will include a 40-character alt tag, to describe the link when moused-over. |
May is a great month for advertising! It is the month of Weddings, Beef, Mental Health, Irises, Military Appreciation and Tourism, so get advertising! The ad will run from May 3 to May 23rd, 2004. |
Don't worry about being lost among ad-dots! The winner's will be the only one-pixel ad on cockeyed.com for the allotted time period.
Some restrictions apply. The linked site can not be advertising any product that is illegal in California. It can not be a gambling site, nor an adult site. It cannot be offensive to schoolchildren. It can't be a matrix or pyramid. It can't be a site selling e-books, e-gold, e-loans or e-anything else. It cannot be an herbalife site, nor a recruiting site for a multi-level marketing company.

I must receive payment before advertising will start. ".co.uk" websites get a 25% discount, .co.au sites get a 15% discount. There is no shipping charge. Satisfaction guaranteed.
