Description |
In the movie "The Ring" a young journalist investigates a mysterious videotape that seems to kill anyone that watches it. |
I liked the movie, but I wondered why no one ever put a label on the tape. I mean, it seems pretty obvious that you would want to make sure no one watched a tape that could kill you. This auction is for a videotape that looks just like the VHS tape in the movie "The Ring", but it has a label on it which reads "Death Tape", "Do Not Watch". |
I'm not going to say what is on the tape. It isn't blank. It is less than an hour long. |
The tape comes in a simple white box with a clear label: Death Tape don't watch. The warning is also on the spine. This should be enough warning for anyone who might be tempted to pop the plain mystery tape into a VCR. It might be funny to take this tape and sneak it into your friend Shaun's house. Since Shaun was particularly freaked out by the movie "The Ring", imagine his surprise and curiosity when a clearly labeled death tape shows up in his VHS collection. |
I'll bet he totally freaks out, because he won't know where it came from, and he will be afraid to watch it... for good reason. It is the death tape. Buyer must take full responsibility for subjecting him to that situation. You could create the same confusion with a different blank tape and a label. That would probably be safer (and cheaper). Winning bidder should not watch this tape, watching it may cause death. Winning bidder must also agree to not remove the warning labels from the tape, because that could endanger people that might inadvertently view it. He or she should also take care not to allow the tape to fall into the hands of someone who cannot read or understand warnings written in English. The videotape should not be placed in the Blockbuster video return slot. That would be very mean. |
Winning bidder must agree to not hold me responsible for injury or death caused by the videotape. The shipping charge will be $1.45 within the United States of America, $4 to Canada and $6 to the United Kingdom. I accept paypal, money orders and checks.
