What in the hell? Did this blank CD get hit by the shrinky machine? At a petite 3¼ inches in diameter, these CDs are not your average CD rom. They are tiny, delicate versions of a regular CD that hold about 180 megs.
|
Compare the tiny 3¼" CD with a regular 4¾" CD. Which one is cuter? I think it is obvious. |
These small CDs will play in DVD players too. I have the world's cheapest DVD player (yamakawa brand) and it plays them flawlessly in a special indentation in the disk drawer. I drop one in and listen to hours of MP3 music. They can also hold oodles of vacation images, and the tiny size is a good way to trick relatives into actually viewing them. |
The CDs should hold 180 Megabytes of data, but I've only tested them up to 157 megs. Here is a screenshot of the 42 songs I put on one. If each song is 4 minutes long, that is 2.8 hours of music on one adorable disk. I think these are fantastic for use when giving music to someone else, especially if they have a DVD player that can handle MP3s. |
They
aren't as large as a regular CD, so they are perfect for sending in the
mail because they actually fit in a regular envelope. That's how I will
ship them, creatively protected with paper.
Shipping these little miracles with only a 37¢ stamp is pure joy. |
The only downside with these miniature rascals is that they don't like the trayless slot players you find on iMacs and in Car CD players. Don't use them in those. |
| This auction is for ONE small, blank, recordable 3¼"
CD rom. You should probably have a CD burner if you are considering buying
one of these.
Shipping is extra: 37¢ in the USA, 70¢ to Canada. Thank you. Satisfaction is guaranteed.
