First of all, we need to state right up front that the "item" you are bidding on is for charity. All profits and proceeds from this "auction" will be used to buy toys for the Sacramento Fire Department's "Toys For Tots" program. In fact, we strongly encourage you to come toy shopping WITH us! Help us pick the stuff out, and then go drop it off! Here's the bad news: by winning this auction, you are agreeing to have our crappy hillbilly outfit, "The Alkali Flats" perform at your party, bar mitzvah, funeral, ship christening, divorce celebration, retirement party, commencement, or building dedication. Sorry, no weddings. We are completely acoustic, do not "jam", and perform only the finest in murder ballads and old-timey favorites. We play songs by groups who have the words "Hank", "Johnny", and "...Brothers" in their titles, plus a couple of originals. We could probably even struggle through a request or two. Here are the conditions: Number 1. As mentioned before, all proceeds will be used to buy toys for the "Toys For Tots" program. Payment can be made in the usual Ebay ways: PayPal, personal check, or money order. Or you can just bring cash if you're going toy shopping with us. We can and will provide a receipt for tax purposes, photographic evidence, whatever you need. Number 2. The party (or whatever) that we are to "perform" at must be within 100 miles of Sacramento. We will provide transportation to and from the "event". Additional distances may be negotiated. Email us for a quote. If you want to pay our airfare to Minneapolis, sure, why not?Let's talk! Number 3. You will provide us with: One (1) twelve-pack (12-pac) of Pabst Blue Ribbon Lager-Type Beer (or equivalent). One (1) place to play. We don't take up much room and don't have any amplifiers or microphones to encumber us. A corner of the kitchen, foyer, or rec room will suffice. Two (2) Burritos or similar foodstuff (optional). Number 4. Because of the holiday nature of the charity, prompt payment is ESSENTIAL! Upon receipt of payment, we will provide a written contract, legally binding us to our obligation to play. You may schedule your "event" at any time in the next 6 months, but please give us at least 2 hours notice before we are to "perform". Number 5. PLEASE- email us with any and all questions! We will be as accommodating as possible in order to ensure a great experience for all! Number 6. MINT! RARE! COLLECTIBLE! VINTAGE! NO RESERVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
