My name is Steve Buckarie, a Sierra Leonean by nationality. I am a younger brother to Sam Buckarie, a former rebel leader of Revolutionary United Front of Sierra Leone (R.U.F) I was a commander of the rebel troop in charge of Kono Diamond District. Beside fighting the Government troop of President Teejan Kabbah of Siera Leone, we were involved in illegal mining of Diamond. These Diamond were supplied to Agents of Mr. Charles Taylor- President of Liberia for onward supply to DeBeers-The largest Diamond marketing comany. DeBeers maintains an office in Monrovia, Liberia. In exchange for the Diamond supplied, we received military hardwares and other necessary supplies.

By virtue of my position, I was equally supplying Diamond to other 
prospectors and buyers from Liberia and Guinea. Through this way, I made a substantial amount of money-Fifteen million six hundred thousand U.S Dollars. (15.6 USD) I deposited this money safely in a bank in Monrovia, Liberia. Liberia was a haeven for the rebel group then. However, the ceasefire Agreement in Sierra Leone and the U.N resolution 1343 that gave Mr. Charles Taylor-the Liberian President three months to expel and freeze all rebel assets or face sanction and ban an exportation of Diamond made me to quit the rebel force inorder to secure my money.

I have successfully withdrawn the money from the bank in Monrovia, Liberia and deposited same with a security company on Cotonou, Republic of Benin through the assistance of a high official of the International Federation Of Red Cross Society. I declared the box containing the money as Artifacts and Jewelries to avoid raising eyebrows by the officials of the security company.

I wish to transfer this money to overseas for prudent investment and use this medium to solicit for your genuine assistance. I can not do this on my own due to some impediments. I have no valid documents and above all the sub regional body-Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) has placed sanction and restriction of movement on all Sierra Leonean rebel officers. Therefore, I will appreciate if you could visit Cotonou, Republic of Benin for a face to face discussion on how best to go about this business and the eventual transfer of the funds into your account overseas.

I will reward you handsomely for your assistance in transferring the funds and expert advice on investment. I offer you 20% of the total sum as your compensation and 10% set aside for all expenses incur during the course of the transaction. My share of 70% will be handle by you through investment.
