Quite simply it was a dare to see which of my two friends Ryan and Brandon could do more pull-ups in 60 seconds. They are average-sized dudes at about 180-190 lbs each, but we never expected the ALMOST simultaneous limb breakage. First, Brandon's snapped, he fell on his ass and then, Ryan, determined to outdo him through tears and laughter, kept going another 8 seconds or so before his limb snapped. Someone will come by to pick up the trimmed branches at a later time. I would say a passing truck caught the branch and pulled it down into the street.
